ResonanceME is operated by Resonance Institute (ABN available on request), Queensland, Australia ("we", "us"). We build tools to help people understand themselves and make better decisions about how they love, work, and connect.
Questions about this policy, or requests about your data? Email privacy@resonanceme.com.
• Your email address and name — when you save your LIFEMAP, sign in, or send or receive a Match invite.
• Your assessment answers — your responses across the LIFEMAP domains you complete, and any free-text you type (for example, what brought you here).
• Match data — who invited whom, the match type, and the Match Report generated for it.
• Payment records — for a paid Love Match we store the Stripe session reference and amount. We never see or store your card details; Stripe handles those.
• Your country — worked out from your IP address by our host when you save answers, so we can see where people use the product. We do not store the IP address itself.
• Feedback you send us — if you use Report an issue, the message, any screenshot you attach, the page you were on, and your browser details.
• Sign-in links — a single-use login token, valid for 15 minutes, tied to your email.
• Your age confirmation — the time you confirmed you are 18 or over.
We do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
Some LIFEMAP domains ask about relationships, sexuality and intimacy, health and habits, beliefs and values. Under the Australian Privacy Act this can be sensitive information. Before you start the LOVE, Intimacy or Vitality domains we ask you to tick a box giving your explicit consent to us collecting and using your answers as this policy describes. We record when you gave it. You can withdraw that consent at any time by deleting your data yourself on the Account & data page, or by asking us (see section 9).
• To generate your LIFEMAP profile, your per-domain analysis, and any Match Reports you request.
• To email you what you asked for — sign-in links, Match invites, and Match Reports.
• To take payment for a Love Match and prevent abuse.
• To fix bugs and improve our assessments, using the feedback you send and aggregate, de-identified counts.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your answers for advertising.
Analysis and Match Reports are written by an AI model — Anthropic's Claude. To produce them, we send the relevant answers to Anthropic's API (for a Match Report, the answers of both people in that Match, for the domains being compared). We use Anthropic's API under its commercial terms, which do not permit it to train its models on our inputs.
The Opening (the short set of taps and the optional "describe yourself" box you see when you first arrive) works the same way: what you tap and any words you choose to write are sent to Anthropic's API to write your "first read". We keep them in your browser only, we do not save them on our servers, and we do not use them to score or match you.
Automated analysis. The analysis, your Resonance Profile type, your "Your code" reading and the compatibility score in a Match Report are produced by software, partly by an AI model and partly by a calculation from your answers. They are information to help you and the person you match with talk honestly. They do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you: nobody is refused a service, a price or an opportunity because of them. If you would like a human to explain or review a result, email privacy@resonanceme.com.
AI-written content can be wrong, and is not a clinical or professional assessment. Our "AI Mentor" is a planned future feature; it is not live today and nothing is processed for it.
When you send a Match invite, the recipient sees your name and the type of match, and is told their completed answers will be compared with yours. They are never required to take part. Before they start, they are asked to confirm that they understand a reading of how the two of you fit will be shared with both of you.
When both of you have finished, both of you receive the same Match Report at the same time. Neither person's raw answers are shown to the other — only the patterns and insights the report draws from them.
Corporate and event programs: if you join through an organiser's access code, the organiser does not see your answers, results or reports.
We rely on these providers, each under its own privacy policy:
• Supabase — our database (your answers, profile, matches), hosted in Sydney, Australia. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
• Vercel — website hosting and server logs, which can include IP addresses.
• Anthropic — AI analysis, as described above.
• Stripe — payments.
• Resend — transactional email.
Our database is in Australia, but some other providers run infrastructure outside it, including in the United States, so your information may be processed overseas when it is analysed by AI, emailed, hosted or paid for. Your answers are not end-to-end encrypted: the people who operate ResonanceME can technically access stored data for support, security and legal reasons, and we limit that to what's necessary. Your LIFEMAP is also kept in your browser's local storage so the product works between visits.
We don't set advertising or tracking cookies. We use your browser's local storage to remember your progress, profile and results. Stripe's hosted checkout page may set its own cookies while you pay.
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 you can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or have your account and answers deleted. Email privacy@resonanceme.com from the address on your account; we aim to respond within 30 days.
You can download a copy of your data, or delete your account and answers, yourself at any time on the Account & data page. We keep your data until you delete it, or until 24 months after you last used ResonanceME, after which we delete the account and answers automatically. Pending invitations expire after 60 days and are deleted after 90. Used and expired sign-in tokens are deleted daily, and sign-in tokens expire after 15 minutes. When you delete your account, matches that are still pending are removed. For completed matches, your name and email are replaced with a placeholder, but the Match Report already delivered to the other person may remain. Payment records may be kept as long as tax law requires.
If you believe we've mishandled your information you can complain to us first, and then to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au). If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the OAIC as the law requires.
ResonanceME is for adults aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a minor has used the Service, tell us and we will delete the data.
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We'll change the date above, and for material changes we'll email people who have an account. Continuing to use ResonanceME after a change means you accept the updated policy.
